Silent Hill Confirmed for HHN 22

Silent Hill Confirmed for HHN 22

Universal Studios announced at Comic-Con over the weekend that a haunted house based on the Silent Hill video game franchise would be featured at both the Orlando and Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights events. They also updated the official Halloween Horror Nights website today with a video of the announcement, some new artwork, and a description of the house:

“In the eerie and desolate town of Silent Hill, ash falls from the sky and the physical laws of nature no longer apply. If you dare to venture into this alternate dimension, there is only one law of nature with which you must concern yourself: survival.”

This is the first time Halloween Horror Nights has used a video game as the source material for the theme of one of its haunted houses, and they are excited to bring the many characters and environments from Silent Hill to life. Included below is the announcement video:

Also with today’s update, we got a look at what is probably the official logo for this year’s event:

And finally, Universal updated the event description text on the home page, which now reads:

“Your end draws near as the night grows darker. On select nights September 21 – October 31, face horror’s most terrifying creatures in the flesh at Universal Orlando® Resort. Explore the depths of all-new haunted houses, spine-tingling scare zones, live shows and more. Halloween Horror Nights 22, featuring Silent Hill.”

I totally agree. I am still holding out hope that they will do both, but it seems unlikely that they would make such a big announcement and leave out the Walking Dead

    • I got an e-mail from Universal.. looks like the theme of the event will be “The Walking Dead”, no?
