First Permits for New Universal Park Filed – Project 304?
On Monday, Universal’s subsidiary SLRC Holdings filed a permit with the South Florida Water Management District for the addition of an office trailer and small parking lot on their new land near the convention center. Unlike their previous filings for the new office and warehouse buildings which are located near Sand Lake Road, this trailer is located roughly in the center of their new, huge tracts of land.
The most interesting part of this new filing, however, are the project numbers associated with it. It looks like the trailer itself is Project 84/P-84 (likely because it will be building 84, according to the plans) and the overall project is Project 304/P-304. Earlier this year, a very similar project number was reported by Disneyandmore, Project 314. This is the first time we’ve seen or heard of Project 304, so either that 314 number was slightly off, or, more likely, Universal is using several project numbers for different parts of their new development.
Lastly, I’ll leave you with an image of the new trailer and parking lot plans as well as a neat basin map of the overall area Universal is developing on.
