Again, not held on Halloween... defeats the purpose.

Agreed. But in their defense, I have friends that used to go for Halloween every year, and there was virtually no one there. (Wish I knew that earlier)

I always go to HHN on Halloween. The crowd is less rambunctious.

That's because they go to parties on Halloween instead of theme parks.

Yep... Makes it one of the best days to go to any of these events.

I saw that yesterday as well :) Looks like some sort of... Christmas ornament? Evil santas?
Or a house number? Apartment #13? Lots of things you can take from that :D Makes me excited. Even though HHN is clearly superior to HOS, HOS still holds a nice little place in my heart because it's a little more "fun", entertainment wise and mood wise.

In all seriousness, it looks like a key.

I've always thought a "Keys to Fear" theme would be very interesting. Or, hey, it could be a key to a gate...

TO HELL!!!

Did anyone visit Busch Gardens during the holiday season? I rode Sheikra the other day and as the cart made the final turn to the unloading station I noticed two miniature houses. One was a gingerbread house, the other I couldn't make out. Anyone know if they used a gingerbread house as holiday decor last season or could this possibly be related to HOS?

Last year they did have a "Holiday Village," so the props may be from that.

Of course, after Bloodengutz last year, an entire "evil Santa" house doesn't exactly sound like something Busch would shy away from.

I think Bloodengutz is to blame for me being skeptical about it. Here's a screenshot that I took from a video I took of the ride. Not the best, but I tried.

No telling. I don't know if that building is used for a house. If it is, then maybe they are for a house. If not, then it's likely just storage.

Can't be positive, but since I was invited to attend it figured I should mention it.

BG is doing a special preview of their new seperately ticketed event, Christmas Town, in July. It may be for that.

I unfortunately can't attend the preview. Since I would have to take a 6 yr old and a 1 month old with me, if I did.

Ok now that makes sense because it did look like they were actually working on the houses. I figured it had to be for something coming up. Mystery solved!

So... this thread hasn't been updated in a while...

The houses have been released!

(Pulled from Designing the Fear: http://designingfear.com/?p=996)

Ultimate Gamble: Condemned - The Vampire Casino is back from last year, only this time it's flashlights only.
Nightshade Toy Factory: Mutation
Zombie Mortuary
Nevermore
Alone - Still an upcharge
Blood Asylum - “As lightning rages and thunder crashes outside, ‘The Creature’ escapes from his holding cell in a high-security asylum for the criminally insane. Now this sadistic deviant is running rampant, skinning his former cellmates and turning the mental hospital into his own torture chamber. This serial killer’s bloody playground will drive you out of your mind with fear.”
Circus of Superstition 3-D - "You’ve been taught to avoid black cats and sidewalk cracks your whole life, but all those years of bad luck have caught up with you. Crazed circus clowns challenge you to survive thirteen superstitions in their 3-D Tent of Terror, but it will take more than luck to escape this whole new dimension of fear."

Also, they're doing a scarezone called "Faded Memories" for their 13th year, which is the same idea as HHN's "Twenty Years of Fear" scarezone from 2010.
