Over the past few years there have been many rumors alluding to the possible addition of Transformers: The Ride to USF. To start I think it originated from themepark fans just creatively expressing themselves until...

...Universal would announce to build the ride in both Universal Studios Singapore and Universal Studios Hollywood. Accidentally Steven Spielberg remarked that a Transformers attraction was coming to Orlando. Universal PR responded to his commentary saying that he misspoke.

Now that Project 722 looks to be a London street set, I pose some questions.

Do you think a Transformers themed attraction is coming to Orlando? Where would it go? Would it be a clone to the other two, or a new original concept?

Where? Between MiB and Simpsons (right on top of the sprungs).

I would hope its not a clone though. I would love to see it be the Battlestar: Gallactica coaster from Singapore brought over, only rethemed to be Autobots vs. Decepticons.

Most rumors include the Sprung tent area or a Terminator replacement.

Tent area seems the most likely place, since it looks like that's a nice big chunk of land just begging to have an attraction squeezed in there.

That corner. If they were to remove the pyro bunker... Could support an entire land.

Indeed. Using it for a single attraction would be a waste. I just wish they had already used it for Potter instead of tearing out Jaws.

Do I see a Transformers ride coming to USF? No, I do not. While it's a reasonably popular franchise to base an attraction on, Universal would have to dream up an entirely different solution for our ride, as the installments in Hollywood and Singapore are just too similar to Spider-Man. This is one of those ride systems that you simply don't duplicate in the same location. It's too unique. No one would be able to ride Transformers without thinking, "Hey, this is exactly the same as Spider-Man!" While I'm sure it's a good ride, it would still be redundant.

Kind of like the Star Tours/Body Wars conundrum at Disney. Just did not work. You can't help but compare the two (especially since one was much better than the other). Thank goodness the better one stayed.

I've heard rumors of the transformers ride going into that area between simpsons and MIB. honestly, i think thats what it is, but they did spend all that money revamping Spiderman... 0.o

If they have to remove a ride i hope its MIB the whole building is a waste of space and the ride just completely sucks

Umm...What? MiB still holds its own against rides being built in todays standards. It's still one of the more interactive experiences there is and is constantly rated at the top of guest polls.

Yeah, you're on your own about MIB. It's one of my favorite rides in Orlando. You can ride it again, and again, and have fun every single time. Unless, of course, you get stuck with a gun that doesn't work. Then it causes RAGE!

Same here on MIB....even without the re-playability aspects MIB is a great attraction. Add that to the mix and it sends it to the top of the heap.

Meh to Each his own then that's how i feel about MIB and most of the ppl i have spoken to feel exactly same way but W.e moving on... At the present time USF does not have the space for a Transformers ride unless they Remove some attractions and I don't see that happening in the present or near future.

Umm... Universal has 2 expansion spaces within the berm of the park that could hold a ride building of that size, one of those spaces could actually hold and entire area (ride, shops, restaurants, bathrooms, etc.) and not effect a single bit of the existing park.

That area, as well as a large piece of land behind Horror Make Up that has a trailer complex on it right now that could be moved.

Reviving this thread in an effort to allow people who believe 44 will become a Transformers attraction as opposed to a new permanent haunt, or other attraction.
